Local Hazard Mitigation Plan
The District is currently in the process of developing a Local Hazard Mitigation Plan to identify potential hazards to the District and formulate mitigation measures to ensure the future protection of the District's infrastructure and the community's safety in the event of a catastrophe. Approval of this document by the State of California Office of Emergency Services (OES) will allow the District to become eligible to receive federal funding assistance under the Local Hazard Mitigation Grant Program or the Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program. The public is invited to comment on the plan during its development. Public comments will be heard at each regular Board Meeting and can be emailed to the District's primary point of contact, Gary Sturdivan at: firstname.lastname@example.org. The District will be holding two separate meetings during the Plan's development. An Internal Committee meeting with District staff and a separate External Committee meeting with members of the public. Agendas and Meeting Minutes for both meetings will be posted to this page as they become available.
