As a special district, the Twentynine Palms Water District is accountable to nearly 18,000 constituents, who are represented by a five-member Board of Directors. Directors are elected at large from within the District's 87-square-mile boundaries in the County of San Bernardino. Serving alternate four-year terms, the Directors establish policies and procedures that are carried out by 24 employees. Day-to-day operations are administered by the General Manager.
There are three seats up for election in August 2017. The filing period is from May 8, 2017 - June 02, 2017 with an election date of August 29, 2017. The Water District will be issuing Election packets at the District office and will also serve as a drop off to cast votes (Eligible candidates must be registered and reside within the district).
